It’s always great hearing firsthand from our Fellows and students! This post comes from one of our newest partner schools— Mastbaum High School.

Jules E. Mastbaum Area Vocational Technical School (AVTS) is a career and technical education (CTE) high school located in Kensington, Philadelphia. Mastbaum is one of a few dedicated vocational schools in the city, and it offers 11 different career prep programs for students to choose from. Students specialize in fields from healthcare, the trades, business, video production, and many more.

Meet Kierra

Hello! I’m Kierra West, a 12 Plus Fellow at Jules E. Mastbaum CTE High School as well. I actually used to be involved with the 12 Plus program when I was in high school at Hill Freedman World Academy so it’s nice to have the opportunity to have a full circle moment now that I work for the non-profit.
